Your website address
What it is
The website address is what a guest types into their browser - for example
myhotel.com. Ubytora does not provide free addresses, you always need your own.
That is deliberate: the address belongs to you and stays yours, whatever happens.
Why you need it
Without an address the website is not publicly accessible. Guests cannot reach it and you will not appear in the accommodation catalog either - a guest would have nowhere to click.
Three ways to sort it out
You choose between them during setup, but they can also be dealt with later.
1. I'll do it myself - free
You already own the address (or you buy one, which costs roughly €15 a year). You give it to us and we send you exact instructions on what to set. You can also find the instructions in your account at any time.
2. Do it for me - €99 one-off
We contact you within 24 hours and set up everything technical for you. All we need is access to the address management. It includes the setup and the security certificate.
3. Migrate my existing website - €299 one-off
If you already have a website and do not want to start from scratch. We move the photos, texts, rooms and prices, set up the address and launch the website. You send us the materials.
How to set the address up yourself
- Log in to
ubytora.comand open your property detail. - In the Domain settings section click Show guide.
- A window opens with the exact values to enter. There are two rows - one for
the address itself and one for the
wwwvariant. You copy a value with the Copy button. - Log in where you bought the address - for example WebSupport, SK-NIC, WEDOS or Namecheap.
- Find the DNS records or DNS management section.
- Add both rows exactly as they are in our window, and save.
- You do not have to do anything else. We check the setup automatically every 15 minutes. When it is done, the website starts up and we send you an e-mail.
The whole thing takes about 5 minutes. Changes spread across the internet slowly, so the website may only become active after 24 hours.
Where to see whether it works
In the property detail at ubytora.com there is a Domain settings section
with the status:

Next to it you see the status of the security certificate. We take care of that, you have no work with it.
How to change the address
In the same section there is Change domain. Enter the new address and save.
Bear in mind that the old address stops working immediately and the new one will only work once it is set up, so up to 24 hours later.
Common problems
The website did not start up even after 24 hours. The most common cause is Cloudflare. If you use it, leave the record in "DNS only" mode (the grey cloud), not in proxy mode (the orange cloud) - otherwise the website will not start.
I added the record but the status still says Waiting for setup. Changes take 2 to 24 hours to spread. Wait and refresh the page.
I cannot find the DNS settings. Contact the customer support of the company where you bought the address - they can show you or set it up.
I do not know where I bought the address. Search your e-mail for the word "domain" or "domain registration". The invoice from the registrar will be there.
I do not have an address yet. You can buy one from any registrar. Or you pay an extra €99 and we sort it out for you - write to us.
I want the website to work without www too. It does. That is why two rows
are set up - one for the address with www and one without it.
