Website content and the order of sections

What it is

The Content & design screen in the website administration. It has four tabs:

Why you need it

This is the text and the photos a guest sees first. It is what decides whether they click Book.

How to set the logo and the name

1. In the left menu open Content & design.
2. Stay on the Text & media tab.
3. In the logo and name block click Upload logo. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background looks best.
4. Fill in the property name.
5. Save.

The logo appears in the website header, in reservations and in confirmation e-mails.

If you have both a dark and a light version of the logo, upload both - Light logo and Dark logo. The website will use the right one depending on the background.

How to set the main photo (hero)

1. In the hero section block upload the hero photo. The recommended size is at least 1920 x 1080 px, in JPG, PNG or WebP format.
2. Fill in the subtitle below the name - one short sentence that captures your place.
3. Save.

Video instead of a photo

Instead of a photo you can have a video in the background. You upload it in the same block (mp4 or webm, up to 50 MB), or you paste a link to a video hosted elsewhere.

Two things people forget:

• The video counts towards your photo storage. See Add-ons and limits.
• The video only appears once you select the Video hero variant on the Appearance (theme) tab. Until you do, the system warns you about it.

The hero photo is used as a preview while the video loads - so upload it anyway.

How to write the About us text

1. In the About us block fill in the section heading (by default "About us").
2. Write your text in the text field. Four paragraphs at most. You have bold, italics and lists available.
3. In the highlighted benefits part add short points that appear as labels - for example "Free parking" or "Breakfast included".
4. Save.

How to add services

Services are the extra things you offer - access to the bar, bicycle hire, a sauna.

1. Open the Services tab (or the Services block on the Text & media tab).
2. Click Add service.
3. Fill in the name and optionally a short description.
4. Optionally add a photo with the add or replace photo button.
5. Use Move up and Move down to arrange the order.
6. Save.

The Services section appears on the website only once you add at least one service. Until then it is marked as hidden in Homepage sections.

How to change the order of sections

1. Open the Homepage sections tab.
2. Drag a row to change the order of the sections on the website.
3. Use the switch to turn a section on or hide it.
4. Save.

Why a section is hidden

A section with no content would look like a fault on the website, so we hide it until you put something in it. The system tells you exactly what is missing:

• Gallery - upload photos.
• Services - add a service on the Text tab.
• Reviews - mark a review as featured.
• Surroundings - add a tip on the Surroundings tab.
• FAQ - add a question.
• News - publish an article.

Next to each such row there is a button that takes you straight there.

Common problems

I uploaded a photo and nothing changed. Check that you clicked save. The bottom bar reports unsaved changes.

The video does not play on the website. On the Appearance (theme) tab you have to select the Video hero variant. Without that the photo is used.

I cannot upload another photo. Your photo storage is full. Delete old ones or move to a higher plan.

I do not have the Surroundings, FAQ and News sections. They are part of the Standard plan and above.
