What it is

The Pop-ups and promo banners screen in the website administration. Two ways to draw a visitor's attention to a current offer:

It is part of the Premium plan.

Why you need it

A guest browsing your website may not know that you currently have an autumn offer. A pop-up tells them.

How to create a pop-up

In the left menu open Pop-ups and promo banners.
In the Pop-ups block click Add pop-up.
Fill in the Heading or the Text. At least one of them has to be filled in - an empty campaign is never shown to guests.
Fill in the Button text and the Button link.
In the Discount code to offer field you can pick one of your active promo codes. If you do not have one, you create it in the Promo codes section.
Choose When it appears:

Option	What it means
On the first visit	The guest sees it when they come to the website for the first time
After a few seconds	You enter the number of seconds
When the guest is about to leave	It catches the mouse moving away from the page

Optionally set Valid from and Valid until. Without them it applies with no date limit.
Turn on the Campaign is on toggle.
Save.

You add an image only after saving the campaign for the first time. The Upload image button appears then.

The same way, only in the Inline banners block via Add banner. The banner is shown directly on the page, so it has no "when it appears" setting.

When a pop-up never appears

Never during a booking or online check-in. This is deliberate: a guest who is already ordering must not get an advertisement covering the Book button.

How to turn a campaign on and off

Each campaign has a toggle. When a campaign is outside its date range, the system says Not showing right now (outside its date range) - the campaign is on, it just does not apply yet or no longer applies.

Common problems

The item has a padlock. It is part of the Premium plan.

The campaign does not appear. Go through three things: it is on, it is within its date range, and it has a heading or text filled in.

I cannot see it even on my own website. Try it in a private browser window. A pop-up set to "on the first visit" has already been shown once and will not appear a second time.

I have no discount code to offer. First create an active promo code in the Promo codes section.

I cannot upload an image. You have to save the campaign once first.
