Website administration - getting oriented
What it is
The website administration is where you set up everything a guest sees on your website: texts, photos, rooms, prices, and where you handle reservations.
You will find it at your website address with /admin added. If your website is
mountainguesthouse.com, the administration is at
mountainguesthouse.com/admin.
Why you need it
It is your everyday working tool. You deal with the ubytora.com portal now and
then (an invoice, a plan); you go into the website administration daily.
How to log in
- Open
youraddress.com/admin. - Enter the e-mail and password you used when signing up.
- Click Log in.
If you have forgotten your password, click the link below the form and we will send you an e-mail letting you set a new one.
What you see after logging in
The opening screen is the Overview. It contains:
- Arrivals today and Departures today - who you are expecting today and who is leaving.
- Occupancy for this week and Reservations / month.
- Upcoming arrivals - a table for the next 7 days.
- Room occupancy for this week.
If your website is not live yet, there is also a checklist at the top, Your website is X % ready, with these steps: logo and name, contact and address, photos, pricing, website address, launch. Next to each step there is a button that takes you straight to where it gets sorted out.
The menu on the left
The menu is split into groups. This is the full list:
| Group | Items |
|---|---|
| (no group) | Overview |
| Content | Content & design, Rooms, Pricing, Gallery, Surroundings, FAQ, News, Languages |
| Operations | Reservations, Waitlist, Reviews, Promo codes, Calendar sync, Guests (CRM), Housekeeping |
| Sales & marketing | Yield (pricing), Add-ons (upsell), Loyalty program, SMS notifications, Email campaigns, Restaurant / Wellness / Events, Pop-ups & banners |
| Insights | Reports, Website traffic |
| Administration | Audit log, Documents, Team members, Settings |
| Plan | Upgrade |
You will not necessarily see all of them - what you see depends on your plan and on your role.
Why some items have a padlock
A padlock means the feature belongs to a higher plan. Clicking it takes you to the Upgrade screen, which explains what that plan adds.
You change your plan on the ubytora.com portal, not here - see
Changing your plan.
Why a colleague sees less than you
As the owner you see everything. Team members see only the parts that belong to their role. Reception, for example, does not see Content & design or Pricing.
There are details in the article Team members and roles.
How to view the website through a guest's eyes
On most screens there is a View as guest button in the top right. It opens your public website in a new tab, so you can see immediately how a change looks.
Pausing the website
In the public website block you can temporarily take the website down with the Pause website button. Guests then do not see the public part, while you as the owner or manager still do. You bring it back with the Publish again button.
This is used during a refurbishment, for example. It is not a subscription cancellation - that is done on the portal.
The notification bell
There is a bell in the top right. It collects events: a new reservation, a cancellation by a guest, a request to change dates and so on. The Mark all as read button clears them all at once.
Common problems
The website administration will not open. It becomes available only once the website address is set up and working. You can check the status on the portal in the property detail.
I see a "Read-only" bar. The subscription is paused because of an unpaid payment. Editing is switched off and guests do not see the website. Your data is safe - you restore everything by paying on the portal. It is deleted for good only after 60 days.
I changed a text but the website still shows the old one. Check that you clicked Save changes. The bottom bar tells you when you have unsaved changes.
I do not know my password and the e-mail does not arrive. Check the Spam folder. If there is nothing, write to us through support on the portal.
